We are looking for a consultant to develop and institutionalize an advocacy toolkit for men and boys' engagement.
Brief scope of workThe TA should deliver a practical advocacy toolkit with standardized messaging guides that are evidence based and designed to ensure sustainable male engagement in SRHR. Application of behavioral science to craft evidence-based messages that are tailored to the target audience (Men and boys).
Experience and skills required- Advanced degree (masters or PHD) Social Sciences, Public health, gender studies, development studies or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of progress experience in Social Behaviour Change and Communication (SBBC), and advocacy
- Strong background in SBCC approaches, including evidence-based messaging and community dialogue facilitation

Position Overview
The Feminist Knowledge Leadership (FKL) Assistant contributes to the coordination and implementation of UAF-Africa’s feminist knowledge production, research, learning, documentation, and monitoring activities. The role supports the delivery of the organisation’s Knowledge Leadership Strategy by coordinating research and documentation processes, contributing to the development of learning products, managing Registry partnership workflows, providing substantive support to MEAL functions, and assisting with the coordination of the Feminist Republik platform and Festival processes. The FKL Assistant is expected to take ownership of defined workstreams under the guidance of the FKL Coordinator.
Qualifications
• Bachelor degree Women’s Studies, Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Political Science, International Development, Law, Communications, Research, or related fields. Skills and Experience
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience for degree holders, with demonstrable experience in at least two of the following areas: feminist research or knowledge production, programme coordination, MEAL support, or documentation and learning in an NGO or civil society context.
• Strong writing, editing, and communication skills, including the ability to produce clear, audience-appropriate outputs in English.
• Strong organisational and coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple workstreams, prioritise independently, and meet deadlines in a remote team context.

Peace and SecurityThe Swedish Defence University is an internationally renowned university in the area of defence, crisis management and security. UN Women Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific (ROAP), through its Governance, Peace and Security (GPS) Unit, leads policy and programme development and implementation in the areas of women’s leadership and decision-making and the advancement of the Women, Peace and Security (WPS) agenda. Education and Certification:- Master’s degree in social sciences, conflict studies, gender studies, international affairs, and/or another relevant field related to gender in governance, peace and security is required;
- A first-level university degree in combination withtwo additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
Experience:- At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience at the national or international level in the design, planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation of programmes related to Governance, Peace and Security;
- Technical experience in programming, advisory and advocacy work with governments and civil society on gender and governance, peace and security is required; including on women’s leadership and decision-making, and emerging issues such as climate change and cybersecurity and new technology.
- Previous experience with UN Women and/or other UN agencies is an asset.
- Experience in the Asia Pacific region is preferred.
- Excellent command of written and oral English is required.
- Knowledge of another UN official language is an asset.
