Key Responsibilities
• Provide support related to the preparation of contracts, sub-grant agreement, collection of support information, processing of disbursements and monitoring of all parties involved.

What are the main job functions of the Advocacy Officer ?
The Advocacy Officer will be actively contributing to ILGA-Europe’s advocacy work aimed at bringing legal, political and social change for LGBTI people across Europe, by working with European institutions to leverage their mechanisms for change, by setting benchmarks for national governments on LGBTI equality, by engaging with governments and civil society at national level to strengthen capacity to translate political commitments into concrete measures, and by acting as a thought-leader on strategic issues for the European LGBTI movement.
We are looking for a person to lead on our work with actors who are central in translating human rights principles, laws and policies into practice to create change in the lived realities of LGBTI people. We are particularly interested in building alliances with organisations and/or institutions who are active and are allies in ensuring that LGBTI people’s needs and fundamental rights are taken fully into account in planning laws, policies to respond to humanitarian and other crisis, addressing socio-economic inequalities, as well as gender-based violence.
At ILGA-Europe we value creative and inclusive approaches to work and management, working across teams and staff participation at all levels in the organisation. While you will report to the Advocacy Director, you will also work collaboratively with your colleagues and external partners, and you will be accountable for the achievement of agreed work plans and priorities.

This is a post within the Programme Funding Team. The team shapes our restricted programme portfolio by securing funding from UK-based institutional donors, trusts and foundations, multilaterals and in some cases private sector donors.
As the Senior Programme Development Specialist, you will lead and coordinate complex multimillion consortia bids, including grant and commercial contract modalities, and multi-country submissions. Working in partnership with CARE country offices, national and international partners, finance colleagues, and technical advisory teams to identify, scope, bid for and secure new funding for programmes. Taking significant responsibility for programme funding processes, you will facilitate programme design and develop successful funding proposals, leveraging the combined technical expertise and insights of diverse stakeholders.
You will deliver a high-quality bidding process, submitting applications to funders such as FCDO, EC, DEC, START Fund, Education Cannot Wait, Jersey Overseas Aid Committee, and Power of Nutrition. You will build learning from existing CARE programmes into bid design and design programmes in line with CARE policies and standards, as well as donor standards. Candidates able to work in French are particularly encouraged to apply.
As a senior member of the team, you will share your experience of programme design and UK-based donors with other team members (including through line management opportunities). - Support WFP management at Country and Regional levels to articulate WFP’s value proposition externally, including in WFP’s engagement and advocacy with governments and financial partners (IFIs, private sector and foundations, and climate financing);
- Support country offices to advance localization commitments in partnership with civil society organizations (including women-led/women’s rights organizations, organizations of persons with disabilities, indigenous peoples organizations) and related government machineries;
Advance knowledge and capacities of country and regional teams:- Generate knowledge management and learning products on best practices from the region for internal and external consumption, and support targeted advocacy efforts;
- Support the contextualization of corporate guidance, tools and trainings, including new corporate results framework indicators and accountability frameworks; and
- Coordinate WFP’s internal regional cross-cutting network and support the onboarding and upskilling of GEDSI staff across the region at country level.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:- Advanced degree in one or more of the following disciplines: social sciences, development studies, public policy / administration, international relations, gender studies, sociology or other relevant field.
- Minimum 8 (eight) to 10 (ten) years of professional experience in relevant areas including at least 4 (four) years progressively responsible professional experience in international development and/or humanitarian contexts;

Gender, Youth, and Social Inclusion (GYSI) Lead, Bangladesh
ACDI/VOCA is seeking a GYSI Lead for an upcoming Feed the Future Agricultural Development Activity in Bangladesh funded by USAID. The anticipated program will address the Sylhet region’s food security needs and potential for agriculture-driven development through developing nutrition sensitive value chains and expanding access to high-quality agricultural services.
The GYSI Lead will lead the development and implementation of the program’s overall GYSI strategy and will ensure the integration of women, youth, and other vulnerable populations into all program activities. The program is anticipated to start in 2025 and this position will be based in Sylhet, Bangladesh.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development of the GYSI strategy which will guide the integration of GYSI concepts and approaches into all program activities, including technical implementation, monitoring, operations, policies, and procedures
- Collaborate with the Chief of Party, technical teams, and other personnel on GYSI strategy implementation and monitoring
- Lead or assist in the design and implementation of GYSI analyses, impact assessments, and support the integration of GYSI into other learning studies
- Provide technical advice and trainings to program staff, partners, and stakeholders to build their capacity to integrate gender, youth, and other relevant social considerations into designing interventions, implementation, and monitoring and evaluation

Qualifications

EDUCATIONAn advanced university degree (Master's) in one of the following fields is required: social sciences, Gender and Development, Public Health, global/international health, Policy and/or management, health sciences, or epidemiology.
A first university degree combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree.WORK EXPERIENCE- A Minimum of five (5) years mainstreaming gender in health/immunisation policies and programmes, preferably with the UN and/or international NGO.- At least three years of experience conducting or supporting formative research and gender analysis, including quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, to understand the drivers related to gender and the health system, including immunisation.- Strong communication and advocacy skills and the ability to effectively report on results- Excellent facilitation, training, networking, and advocacy skills.- Experience working in a developing country, including through government systems.- Background and/or familiarity with health emergenciesLANGUAGESFluency in French required. Peace and SecurityBackground:
Gender Action for Peace and Security (GAPS) is the UK’s Women, Peace and Security civil society network. GAPS was founded to progress the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 on Women, Peace and Security and to hold the UK government accountable for its international commitments to women and girls affected by conflict. GAPS is hosted by Saferworld, an independent, not-for-profit international organisation working to prevent violent conflict and build safer lives in countries and territories across Africa, Asia and the Middle East.
Roles and responsibilities:
Programme Implementation and Management
• Manage the day-to-day implementation of the 'Strengthening Global WPS Practice’ project in line with the programme’s objectives and donor requirements, under the strategic direction of the GAPS Director.
• Support GAPS partnerships and work with the GAPS Director to strengthen partnerships with WPS Centres of Excellence and partner organisations, ensuring project activities align with regional and global WPS priorities.
• Identify and develop key relationships with strategic partners and government institutions to achieve the programme vision, including donors, governments officials, and WPS networks, ensuring and effective coordination.
Advocacy
• Contribute to the advocacy efforts associated with this project and support the overall GAPS advocacy strategy.
• Prepare briefings for meetings with government ministers, officials, parliamentarians, and stakeholders as is needed.
• Build and maintain relationships with the broader GAPS network, including non-members, and strengthen partnerships with multi-stakeholders, such as INGOs, multilateral organisations, governments, and civil society.
Team and People Management
• Work with the GAPS Director, and other key personnel to support team activities and ensure effective communication and collaboration on project deliverables.
• Line manage staff, as applicable.
Financial and Operations
• Ensure that GAPS demonstrate good stewardship and compliance with local legislation (including remaining aware of changing compliance regulations internationally and within the contexts we are working in), the host’s finance policies and procedures, and donor procurement regulations.
• Plan, manage, and review the project budgets with the GAPS Director and the host’s Finance Business Partner, using it as a tool for decision-making, monitoring staffing, programme gaps, operational gaps, fundraising priorities, and cost recovery
• Ensure budgets and financial management accounts are in-line with the host’s and GAPS organisational processes
Person specification
• Education in gender, conflict or women, peace and security studies, peacebuilding, or similar; or equivalent experience on the issues.
• Strong knowledge of Women, Peace, and Security frameworks, including National Action Plans, and experience supporting civil society partnerships.
• Experience at management level, with proven experience managing programmes.
• Experience in strategic planning and programme development, including project design, proposal development/writing and team management
