The Adolescent Development Specialist reports to the Gender and Adolescent Manager (Social Transformation), P3 for guidance and general supervision. The Specialist provides support to country office colleagues and internal and external partners and stakeholders throughout the programming processes by providing technical, administrative and operational support to ensure that gender and adolescent development and participation is integrated and child rights established under the Convention on the Rights of the Child, international treaties/framework and UN intergovernmental bodies, are integrated in UNICEF’s advocacy, policies, programmes and humanitarian work.
The Specialist contributes to achievement of concrete and sustainable results on gender and adolescent development related programmes/projects according to plans, allocation, results based-management approaches and methodology (RBM) and UNICEF’s Strategic Plans, standards of performance and accountability framework.

Minimum requirements:
Education:
An advanced university degree in one of the following fields is required: gender studies, anthropology, psychology, sociology, education or another relevant technical field.

The Government of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire has received funding from the African Development Bank (AfDB) Group for the implementation of the national component of the REWARD project. The objective of the project is to strengthen food security and sovereignty in Côte d’Ivoire by promoting public and private investments in rice value chains.
To implement REWARD, a Project Coordination Team (PCT) will be established, responsible for coordination, control, and internal monitoring and evaluation of project activities. The project will be executed over a period of three years.
To operationalize the PCT, the Ministry of State, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Food Crops intends to recruit an Individual Consultant Specialist in Social Safeguards and Gender. Reporting to the Project Coordinator and under the supervision of the Technical Operations Manager, the Social Safeguards and Gender Specialist will ensure the integration of social and gender dimensions into the project and compliance with relevant indicators. The Specialist will provide cross-cutting support to the Project Coordination Team in implementing various activities, ensuring the application of gender equality principles. Tasks will be carried out based on the project procedures manual and evaluation report.

Program overview
For the past 30 years, WCS Congo has been the government's main conservation partner, helping the Ministry of Forest Economy (MEF) to manage wildlife and its habitat in several of the country's national parks, reserves and protected area buffer zones. In these sites, WCS develops and implements actions for effective wildlife protection, community-based natural resource management, ecological monitoring, scientific research and environmental education. The program is the largest in WCS's global portfolio and reports to the regional program for Central Africa and the Gulf of Guinea. WCS Congo's current program portfolio includes management of the Nouabalé-Ndoki National Park (PNNN) through a public-private partnership with the government of Congo, wildlife management in the park's important buffer zones, co-management of the Lac Télé community reserve, a national program to support reform of marine resource conservation and management, and a major policy support program for the central government in Brazzaville.
Job summary:
The role of the Advisor will be to accompany, sensitize and train WCS agents to take into account social safeguards and human rights when deploying activities, to support a rights-based approach framework in collaboration with project managers and to oversee the deployment and implementation of the grievance redress mechanism at WCS intervention sites. In addition, this position will lead all gender mainstreaming activities in the Ndoki Likouala landscape, which includes Nouabale-Ndoki National Park (PNNN), Lac Tele Community Reserve (RCLT), and their peripheral ecosystem management projects.
Qualification Requirements- Graduate degree in social sciences (international development studies, human rights, gender studies, human geography, conflict mitigation/resolution, natural resource management).
- Proven experience in conflict management.
- At least 5 years' experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of programs/projects, particularly about social guarantees and/or social protection for marginalized and vulnerable groups.
- Qualifications and experience in implementing gender mainstreaming strategies in developing countries.

The Gender Hub commenced in the fourth quarter of 2023 and will run through to January 2028 (in line with the PNGWL program). The primary purpose of the Gender Hub is to maximise Australian investments in PNG to progress gender equality outcomes including helping to achieve synergies across programs and investments. The Gender Hub provides Australian High Commission (AHC) in PNG, Department for Community Development and Religion (DfCDR) and other selected PNGWL program partners access to external technical advice on gender equality and organizational development expertise in PNG. As part of the commitment to localisation, the Gender Hub will prioritise technical expertise and advisory support from Papua New Guineans. Political participationBackgroundWomankind Worldwide is an international women’s rights organisation and funder, working with women’s rights groups and feminist movements across the world to end gender inequality. We have influenced governments and other decision-makers to commit to ending violence against women, enable women to gain economic independence and ensure their voices are heard. As a feminist organisation, working to dismantle systems of oppression that discriminate against women, girls and people of all genders is at the heart of what we do. This is why decolonisation and antiracism inform how we work.
Purpose of the Consultancy
We want to contribute to influencing positive change on UK policy and commitments to gender equality. Furthermore, the UK has significant influence in certain settings, and we would like to see this channelled to influence action—for example, championing reform of International Financial Institutions, corporate accountability, and tax justice.
While we recognise the difficulty of making cut-through with advocacy calls in this challenging policy environment, it is more important than ever that we advocate on aspects like ending femicide, tackling Tech Facilitated Gender Based Violence (TFGBV), and stopping corporate abuse.
Womankind has traditionally conducted its advocacy in partnership with other UK NGOs, including through the GADN and CJC. While this is a vital and continuing strategy, the moment has arrived for us to refine and build on our own calls as an organisation and engage directly with the UK government on them as Womankind.
The brief will be a means of using our power and positionality as a UK registered organisation to conduct relevant, timely and meaningful advocacy informed by and seeking to address UK positions on relevant issues and in the context of global developments affecting the feminist ecosystem.
Key Tasks:
- An audit of existing calls – involving interviews and shared documents from team members.
- A review of calls including partners through interviewing them to collect their views on recommended updates, amendments and gaps.
- Recommendations in the form of a preliminary findings report of 3-5 pages to Policy and Advocacy team for decisions on which content to include.
- Skeletal outline of the brief.
- Development of policy brief (including an anticipated three drafts for colleagues’ inputs before finalisation) with aim to increase Womankind’s influence with the UK government

We are looking for a feminist professional with an anti-racist and de-colonised approach who has the following skills and experience:

This role has been created to ensure that we continue to protect people from sexual harassment exploitation and abuse, and that this is managed in a professional, sensitive, coordinated, accountable and urgent way, in line with best practices within CARE and the sector.
The post holder reports to the CARE USA Director of Safeguarding and PSHEA and is responsible for socializing and raising awareness of CI’s Safeguarding and PSHEA policy by:
- Raising awareness
- Safeguarding and misconduct Investigations
- Safer Programs
- The standards include the following areas: budgeting, risk assessments, community-based reporting and feedback mechanisms, community awareness raising, survivor support mapping and communications.
The post holder is also jointly responsible for the delivery of the Safeguarding and PSHEA team road map, working closely with the Safeguarding team to ensure that the HQ authorized training/ awareness raising program is delivered in country offices, and to support with investigations and capacity building of CO PSHEA focal points and investigators. Although the primary focus of the role is WA transition and WA region this is a global role therefore, travel is a key aspect of this role. The post holder is required to travel to locations of humanitarian disaster and conflict as part of this role and should be willing and able to do so.
Required Qualifications:- Excellent English fluency spoken and in writing
- Degree level of education or equivalent
- 5 years of safeguarding experience
- Training in managing sensitive investigations (IQTS level 2 essential working to level 3)
- Training in interview skills and techniques or mediation techniques
- Excellent report writing skills
- Must have previous experience of managing sensitive and serious investigations involving safeguarding and PSHEA
- Must have a high level of resilience and ability to remain calm under difficult circumstances
