Moonshot is recruiting an Analyst to join our Online Violence Prevention (OVP) team. You will help deliver an international programme that uses digital campaigns to reach people encountering misogynistic content and sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR) disinformation online, connecting them with accurate information and local support services. A large part of this work focuses on Tunisia.
Tunisian Arabic (Darija) is a priority for this role. We are especially keen to hear from candidates who speak Tunisian Arabic, ideally alongside French and/or Modern Standard Arabic, as you will help design, review and monitor campaign content for Tunisian audiences. Experience of working in Tunisia or North Africa is a strong advantage.
Key responsibilities
  • Supporting the identification of target audiences by sourcing and analysing quantitative and qualitative data, including social media metrics and data from Moonshot’s in-house software.
  • Helping design and build digital campaign content in multiple languages, including Tunisian Arabic.
  • Delivering and monitoring campaigns, and contributing to their optimisation.
  • Supporting research, monitoring and evaluation, and drafting reports and deliverables.
  • Supporting capacity-building activities for partners and practitioners.
  • Supporting project coordination, including scheduling, task tracking, documentation, budget monitoring and supplier contracts.
  • Applying Moonshot’s ethical and safeguarding frameworks in all project work.
About you
Essential:
  • Experience in, or a strong interest in, online harms, and some experience of digital campaigns and social media.
  • Experience sourcing, interpreting and analysing quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including drafting reports to a high standard.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage your workload under pressure.
  • Ability to work with sensitive and potentially distressing content.
  • Willingness to travel to deliver programme activities.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
Desirable:
  • Fluency in Tunisian Arabic, Arabic and/or French (strongly preferred, see above).
  • Knowledge of gender-based violence, including technology-facilitated GBV, or of SRHR disinformation.
  • Experience in strategic communications, behaviour change, OSINT, quantitative methods, monitoring and evaluation, or training delivery.
Benefits include 30 days’ paid annual leave, private healthcare with mental health cover, an Employee Assistance Programme, 26 weeks’ paid maternity and 8 weeks’ paid paternity leave, and share options for permanent employees.
