The Queer Feminist Fund (QFF) was launched because queer feminist and LBQ movements across Asia are chronically underfunded. The fund's political commitments are grounded in
queer feminist values that guide our grantmaking practices, including a challenge to patriarchy and addressing funding gaps created by intersecting systems of power.
Position Overview
The Program Officer will help launch and manage QFF’s pilot grantmaking portfolios in 2027 to resource queer feminist movements in East, South, and South East Asia. This new role will contribute to the program launch, portfolio management, and grantmaking strategy. The Program Officer will be the key point of contact for applicants and grantees.
The position is expected to be based in Asia, working remotely, with occasional travel. The role will be supervised by the Director of Strategy and Operations.
Qualifications
Required:
● Minimum 3-5 years of experience in philanthropy as a program officer, or a related role
● Must be comfortable working in English (written and spoken); fluency in another Asian language is a plus
● Understand how intersecting power dynamics, histories, and politics impact the work of grantmaking
● Sensitive to the varied risks activists face and committed to following safety and security guidelines as appropriate.
● University degree or higher education qualifications in a related field
