Background
MAGENTA is supporting the client to document technology-facilitated gender-based violence (TFGBV) against women in public life in Syria, many of whom are going quiet online because of the threats they face. The four-month study runs in two components: open-source monitoring, scraping and coordination analysis covering men and women in equivalent public roles; and 10 qualitative case studies with women in public life.
To deliver this initiative, MAGENTA is engaging a Qualitative Researcher and Gender Specialist to take full ownership of Component 2, the qualitative case studies, from purposive selection through to participant validation. This engagement is subject to award of the contract by the client.

REQUIREMENTS
· 5-8 yrs experience of qualitative research experience, including moderating focus group discussions and key informant interviews
· 5-8 years of gender and protection experience
· Established network among Syrian organisations and access to public profiles
· Languages required: Native Arabic for interviewing and coding. Strong written and spoken English for reporting.
