Background
The Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) Collective was established in 2026 to ensure that data presented through the Monitoring Framework and Data Strategy are interpreted and reported in consultation with relevant communities with subject expertise, including people with lived and living experience.
Terms of reference
The SRH Collective:
- Provides advice on current and emerging issues and information needs relating to sexual and reproductive health from diverse perspectives
- Provides advice regarding stakeholder engagement activities, including identification of key stakeholders
- Contributes to the interpretation of data and reporting of insights
- Provides input into the design, analysis, interpretation, and reporting of the data as the work evolves
- Contributes relevant insights informed by the experiences of communities that will shape direction of the work, interpretation of the data, and add context which enhances the reporting of data
- Provides timely feedback on the content and structure of working documents and draft reports
- Where appropriate, engages more widely with respective communities, providers and other relevant sectors to provide additional advice and feedback.
Membership
The AIHW is currently seeking expressions of interest to join the SRH Collective. The AIHW is committed to creating genuine opportunities for everyone and we welcome applications from First Nations people, people with disability, LGBTIQA+, neurodiverse people and people from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
People from one or more of the following population groups, and people with lived or living experience in the following areas are strongly encouraged to apply:

- people with innate variations of sex characteristics

- living in insecurity, including unstable housing or experiencing homelessness
- living in regional, rural or remote areas
- living in residential aged care or specialist disability accommodation
- migration, including new arrivals and refugees
- neurodivergence
- reproductive coercion and abuse
- sex work
- socioeconomic disadvantage, including those not in education employment or training.
