Program Background
The Education Quality for Inclusive Prosperity (EQUIP) is a new Australian-funded program, implemented in the Philippines. EQUIP supports the Philippine Government’s efforts to strengthen senior secondary school education and ensure that senior secondary school learners have the skills to participate meaningfully in the labour force. EQUIP is a partnership between the Governments of Australia and the Philippines and will contribute to Philippine Government-led education reforms including the Philippine Department of Education (DepEd) 5-Point Reform Agenda which aims to harness the potential of young Filipinos.

The Role
The Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (Inclusion) Lead will lead the implementation of EQUIP’s GEDSI Strategy and initiatives. The Inclusion Lead will be a member of the EQUIP leadership team, working collaboratively with the DFAT and Program partners, to ensure GEDSI is a key consideration in all programs decision-making processes and integrated into activity design and delivery.

Selection Criteria
Essential Experience and Knowledge
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in social sciences, gender studies, development studies, or a related
field.
• A minimum of eight years’ relevant experience in gender equality, disability rights and equity, and/or
human rights and development, with specific experience in implementing twin-track disability 
inclusion and gender equality initiatives in development programs.
• Proven experience leading the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of GEDSI 
strategies and programs within an international development context.
• Experience translating GEDSI strategies into practical program interventions, implementation plans, 
and organisational change processes.
• Experience providing technical quality assurance and strategic advice to mainstream GEDSI across 
large-scale development programs.
• Proven experience in partnership engagement working effectively with government agencies in the 
social sector, the private sector, business and industry, marginalised populations and diverse 
communities.
• Experience designing and delivering capacity strengthening initiatives, including training, mentoring, 
coaching, and learning resources for diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and research skills, including experience conducting gender, disability, and social 
inclusion analyses and applying findings to program design and policy development.
• Experience in monitoring, reporting and evaluating social inclusion initiatives.
• Strategic and independent work approach, with a proactive, adaptable, and innovative problem solving mindset focused on continuous improvement and achieving development outcomes.
• Demonstrated understanding of safeguarding, protection, and do-no-harm principles, particularly as 
they relate to gender equality, disability inclusion, and participation of vulnerable groups.
• Demonstrated ability to build respectful, productive, and sustainable working relationships with a 
variety of stakeholders and working together to achieve results.
• High level written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to produce high-quality 
reports, briefs, workshops and other information with diverse audiences.
