Information About the Project
The East Africa Feminist Peace Network (FemPeaceEA) project aims to strengthen grassroots feminist organizations in East Africa (Ethiopia, Kenya, and Uganda) through capacity and network building to enhance women’s full and meaningful participation in conflict prevention and peacebuilding processes.
Knowledge and Understanding
- A deep understanding of grassroots African feminist experts and practitioners and movements, especially in the East African context (Ethiopia, Uganda, and Kenya)
Education and Professional Background
- A Bachelor’s Degree in business administration or bachelors of governance and public administration.
- At least 2–5 years of relevant work experience in administrative roles and familiarity with consultancy/service agreements.
- Consultancy contract and MOU drafting, including structuring deliverables logically and using unambiguous language.
- Financial literacy, including payment terms, budgeting, and deliverable-based payments.
- Experience verifying invoices and cash receipts in accordance with payment terms.
- Attention to detail regarding agreement dates, deliverables, scope of work, and amendments.
- Understanding and practical experience working with donor/funder requirements and deliverable-based contracts
- Familiarity with project procurement processes, including call publication, documentation, and follow-up communication.
- Ability to work remotely while remaining accessible and responsive during standard working hours.
- Availability to attend weekly project meetings, administrative meetings, and expert consultant briefing meetings.
