Opportunity
ICW Global is seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Coordinator to strengthen our communications, digital advocacy and visibility over a six-month period. We are looking for someone who enjoys telling stories, translating complex issues into engaging content, and helping connect women living with HIV across regions and movements. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to international advocacy around HIV, gender justice, reproductive justice, community leadership and human rights.

Responsibilities
Working closely with the Global Programmes Director and Global Advocacy Officer, the Communications Coordinator will support both ICW's ongoing communications and several major advocacy initiatives. The successful candidate will help coordinate communications for ICW’s Global Communications Campaigns including planning content, scheduling posts, coordinating partners and helping amplify campaign messages. (Graphic design will be supported separately where needed.)

Digital Communications: Create engaging content for social media, the website, and other digital platforms; support communications planning, audience engagement, website updates, and live event communications.

Campaign Support: Contribute to communications for global advocacy campaigns and key international moments, including World AIDS Day, International Women's Day, the International AIDS Conference, and other major advocacy initiatives.
The successful candidate will help coordinate communications for the 16 Days of Activism Campaign, including planning content, scheduling posts, coordinating partners and helping amplify campaign messages. (Graphic design will be supported separately where needed.)

Event Support: Support the planning and delivery of virtual events, including coordinating speakers, preparing Zoom meetings and webinars, managing participant registration and communications, and providing basic technical support during online sessions.

Communications: Assist in developing engaging communications across multiple platforms, including social media campaigns, website content, blog posts, newsletters, and annual report materials. Provide editing and proofreading support and, where possible, contribute basic Canva graphics and short video or Reel editing.

Desired Qualifications
We are looking for an organized, creative, and collaborative communicator who is passionate about social justice and community-led advocacy. 

Essential
  • Excellent written English (additional languages are an asset) 
  • Experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently
  • Experience coordinating virtual meetings or webinars using Zoom or similar platforms 
  • Canva, basic graphic design, or video editing skills ( Some graphic design will be contracted out but some will be in house). 
  • Excellent attention to detail 
  • Commitment to gender equality, human rights, and the meaningful leadership of communities most affected by HIV
