ROLE PURPOSE: 
The job holder is primarily responsible for effective and efficient project coordination. S/he coordinates all aspects of project planning and quality implementation, including providing project coordination and technical expertise and budget management, compliance with donor rules and regulations, and coordinating with consortium and strategic partners, monitoring and evaluation, and reporting, and building staff & partner capacity. S/he will represent the organization in project related external meetings and workshops when required. 

In addition, s/he will also be responsible for ensuring that all relevant Save the Children policies and procedures with respect to child safeguarding, safety and security, code of conduct, equal opportunities and other relevant policies are adhered to during project implementation and operations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Essential
  • At least a bachelor’s degree in development studies and other social sciences with bias to Gender Social Work and Social Administration, and Community Development. Other specialized training/certificates is added advantage. 
  • At least 5 years of Project coordination experience coordinating Projects for an international NGO.
  • Experience working in consortium and external representation including with donors and coordination meetings.
  • Demonstrable technical expertise in the assessment of, design and project implementation, including monitoring and evaluation.
  • Demonstrate technical expertise in integrating gender components across activity implementation. 
  • Good understanding of gender and demonstrated experience in working with the government authorities at all levels.
