CARE Canada is looking for a Human Resource Coordinator (18-month Parental Leave Cover)

The Human Resources Coordinator plays an integral role in CARE Canada’s People & Culture team. The HR Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative and coordination support across recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, HR operations, reporting, and employee experience initiatives. The role also provides reception and office coverage for the Executive Assistant during planned absences and leave periods.
 
The HR Coordinator supports the People & Culture team’s goal of transforming CARE Canada to be future-ready while helping ensure a positive, professional, and welcoming experience for staff, candidates, and visitors.
 
WHAT YOU OFFER / ABOUT YOU
 
  • 2-4 years of HR-related experience including HRIS experience, recruitment, benefits administration, employee wellness initiatives 
  • Human Resources related degree/diploma/post-graduate certificate or a combination of relevant experience, training, and/or education.
  • Knowledge of HR processes and best practices 
  • Ability to use tact and diplomacy and maintain confidentiality in dealing with sensitive employee data  
  • Strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion  
  • Strong and demonstrated attention to detail 
  • Excellent organizational skills 
  • Team player who has a demonstrated ability to multi-task and (re)prioritize 
  • Knowledge of Microsoft suite including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel 
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with functions including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.  
 
WHAT WOULD MAKE YOU EXTRAORDINARY
 
  • Strong language skills in French  
  • Knowledge and experience using Ceridian/Dayforce HRIS
