Respect Victoria (RV) is a Statutory Authority under the Prevention of Family Violence Act 2018. We focus on the primary prevention of family violence and violence against women in Victoria and collaboratively work with stakeholders to provide state-wide leadership to create social, institutional, organisational and community change. RV recognises strength in diversity and values an inclusive workplace and are committed to providing flexible and accessible working arrangements for all. We actively encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with a disability, culturally, religiously and linguistically diverse people, young people, older people, women and gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and gender diverse, intersex, queer or asexual people.
The role
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Director of Strategy, Policy and Impact (SPI) is responsible for the strategic outcomes of RV's policy, coordination, evaluation, research, evidence development and effective practice at a statewide level, including the Ballarat Community Saturation Model, Respect Ballarat.
This directorate consists of four teams:
- Prevention Coordination
- Prevention Policy and Influence
- Research
- Monitoring and Evaluation Strategy
The role requires a detailed understanding and commitment to the prevention of gendered violence.
Your strong leadership skills will drive success in this role by supporting teams to deliver outcomes, partnering with key stakeholders, building evidence and maintaining strong relationships.
You demonstrate confidence in liaising with ministerial offices, government departments and agencies, academics, community groups, peak bodies, local government, and a range of specialist violence prevention organisations. Representing the organisation and presenting to these stakeholders will be a regular requirement of the role.
