The Role
We are looking to add a new Advisor for our Prevention Sector Development Team.
The Prevention Engagement Advisor will lead a program of work focused on supporting strategic messaging of Safe and Equal’s prevention priorities and campaign activities.
This role will be well-versed in strategic, values driven messaging and program management with a positive vision for change. It will lead all stakeholder engagement and coordination to deliver the 16 Days of Activism Grassroots Initiative as a part of Respect Victoria’s statewide 16 Days of Activism campaign. The role will also lead key communication areas of Safe and Equal’s work with the Partners in Prevention Network, including the PreventX conference.
Here are some examples of what you will achieve in the next 12 months as the Prevention Engagement Advisor:
- Overseeing Safe and Equal’s stakeholder engagement supporting local councils and organisations through the 16 Days of Activism Grassroots Initiative,
- Leading communications deliverables engaging the Partners in Prevention Network through monthly bulletins, events and PreventX,
- Working collaboratively with the Safe and Equal Communications and Prevention Workforce Development teams to develop strategic messaging and campaigns promoting Safe and Equal’s prevention programs, training, activities and resources to Safe and Equal members and wider audiences,
- Oversee the delivery of high-quality resources targeting the primary prevention workforce.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about engaging with people and process - a skilled program manager, communicator and collaborator. You will have:
- Exceptional command of strategic, values-based messaging in stakeholder and sector engagement in written and verbal form.
- Exceptional written communication skills, including an eye for risk and the ability to write clearly and succinctly for a variety of purposes.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills. Ability to manage time independently, prioritise and manage competing demands, with a high level of professionalism and attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills, especially the ability to interact professionally and confidently with a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Relevant qualifications and experience in public health, communications, project management or related discipline and/or equivalent demonstrable experience.
- Demonstrated experience in facilitating and delivering quality online events and capacity building initiatives.
