Background and Partner Organisation
The Civil Peace Service (CPS) is a programme for the prevention of violence and the promotion of peace in crisis and conflict regions. The local partner organisation is CCC, an alliance of civil society organisations committed to sustainable peacebuilding, social justice and inclusive participation. Together with its 200 member organisations, the CCC acts, collaborates and advocates as a network to strengthen its initiatives and promote joint strategies for peaceful conflict transformation. The network's identity is shaped by feminist peacebuilding, diversity, and a critical approach to power relations.
Your Responsibilities
Collaborating with professional colleagues and partner organisations of the CCC to carry out the strategy for peace promotion – with a particular emphasis on feminist viewpoints, gender equality and the encouragement of female participation
Assisting member organisations in advancing their professional, organisational and conceptual approaches to strengthen empowerment processes and enable them to independently and effectively design their peace-promoting work
Contributing to studies and analyses of current peace policy issues to make knowledge accessible and promote shared reflection
Recording and documenting the impact of peace-promoting activities systematically to make results visible and enable improvements
Strengthening the exchange, solidarity and mutual support between CCC and its member organisations, especially in Thailand and Vietnam, is the aim of this project, which will promote regional networking
Contributing to the introduction and use of digital tools that facilitate collaboration and support the peace-promoting work of member organisations
Your Profile
To ensure these tasks are completed successfully, CCC is looking for candidates with the following profile:
A completed university degree (at least a Bachelor's) in Conflict and Peace Research or a comparable social science subject is required
Proven ability to collaborate with civil society organisations, initiatives or community groups, ideally in a consultative, coordinating or facilitative role
Routines for setting up workshops, training sessions, dialogue formats and other spaces where people cooperate together to find solutions
Competence and practical experience in peace promotion, conflict resolution, gender justice or empowerment, for example through projects, non-governmental organisation involvement, research or education
Basic experience in monitoring, documenting or structured evaluation of projects or activities
Intercultural skills, for example acquired through teamwork in international groups, volunteering or long-term stays in other countries
Proficiency in English for professional purposes.
We are looking for internationally experienced candidates. For this role, a minimum of 5 years proven working/ living experience outside of Cambodia is required.
