ABOUT TECH4PRIDE

Tech4Pride equips young LGBTQI+ people with the practical tech skills, confidence, and community connections they need to thrive in the digital economy. This Initiative serves as an economic empowerment pathway — supporting queer youth to build sustainable livelihoods, increase their earning potential, and access opportunities within Africa’s rapidly growing tech ecosystem.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Community Engagement & Learner Success
● Build and execute engagement strategies that prioritise two-way communication, ensuring learners feel seen, heard, and supported.
● Conduct regular check-ins and follow-ups with learners to ensure they are getting the needed attention, identifying at-risk participants, and offering resource navigation.
● Plan and execute Tech4Pride virtual and physical events (masterclasses, prep school, mixers, demo days) that foster connection, learning and community.

2. Operations & Application Management
● Lead the recruitment cycle for new cohorts, managing the Tech4Pride application process from launch to selection.
● Work closely with our learning partners and facilitators to ensure the curriculum is on track and that learners are meeting their milestones.
● Manage the day-to-day operations of the learning platforms (LMS/ Slack/Zoom/Google Meet), ensuring all materials and links are accessible.
● Manage the Tech4pride social Media platforms in collaboration with the communications team

3. Data & Collaboration
● Collaborate with the Insight and Learning team to collect, clean, and analyse data sets regarding learner performance and Program Impact.
● Gather qualitative and quantitative feedback to inform program improvements and reporting.

4. Strategy & Scale
● Work alongside the Tech Justice Advisor to identify growth opportunities and create new pathways to scale the Tech4Pride programme across Africa.
● Contribute to discussions on how to make the community self-sustaining and impactful in the long term.
