JOB PURPOSE:
To perform specialized and/or standardized policy and programme-related processes and activities to support the effective delivery of assistance packages.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (not all-inclusive, nor exhaustive):
1. Provide technical support and assist in the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the specific area of work supporting alignment with wider programme policies and guidelines.
2. Support mainstreaming of gender into WFP programming and operations, including supporting the integration of gender responsive and gender transformative approaches at field office level.
3. Document issues, challenges and lesson learned of programme implementation at field office level and share with the relevant Units at Field/Country Office to help inform programme learning and WFP national strategic direction.
4. Ensure and/or perform accurate, timely recording of data within the specific technical area of work (e.g. protection from sexual exploitation and abuse (PSEA), child protection, gender-based violence (GBV), accountability to affected populations (AAP), gender mainstreaming and/or humanitarian issues) and consistency of information presented to stakeholders.
5. Liaise with internal counterparts to support effective collaboration, implementation and monitoring of ongoing project activities.
6. Coordinate and communicate with local partners, agencies, NGOs and government institutions to perform accurate food security analyses and to ensure efficient delivery of food assistance.
7. Support the capacity building of WFP staff, cooperating partners and national government for PSEA, protection, AAP, gender equality and disability inclusion as relevant to FO interventions.
8. Act as a point of contact for resolution of a range of operational queries and problems within a specific technical area of responsibility.
9. Follow standard emergency preparedness practices to ensure WFP can quickly respond and deploy needed resources to affected areas at the onset of the crisis.

11. Provide support and assist in the development and implementation of various activities and processes within the area of Accountability to Affected Populations (AAP) and Complaints and Feedback Mechanism (CFM).
12. Perform other duties as required.
STANDARD MINIMUM ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Completion of secondary school education. A post-secondary certificate in the related functional area is desirable.
Experience: At least 5 years of related Professional job experience.
Language: Fluency in both oral and written communication in Portuguese and local language(s). Working knowledge of English is an advantage.
12. Perform other duties as required.
