Do you have a minimum of eight (08) years of proven, relevant experience in gender justice and inclusion within national and/or international NGOs or comparable organizations?

Do you have demonstrated experience in promoting gender equality and social inclusion across programmes, specifically in the areas of women’s economic empowerment, climate justice, and humanitarian action?

Do you have a strong track record of providing technical leadership in the design and development of programmes or projects?

The Role:

The Gender Justice and Social Inclusion Specialist at Oxfam plays a vital role in promoting gender equality and social inclusion across programmes focused on valuing women’s work, climate justice, and humanitarian action. The position ensures that all interventions are designed with a strong understanding of gender dynamics and power relations, addressing the needs of marginalized women, gender-diverse individuals, and affected communities. By offering technical expertise and advancing inclusive, feminist approaches, the Specialist supports Oxfam’s commitment to building equitable, resilient societies where dignity, inclusion, and justice are upheld in all areas of work in Bangladesh.

What we are looking for:

We’re looking for a candidate who cares about Oxfam's mission to end poverty and is personally aligned to our feminist principles and values of empowerment, accountability, and inclusion in all you do.

An ideal candidate for the role will also be/have:

  • Master’s degree in Gender and Development Studies or relevant social sciences such as Feminist Economics, Sociology, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant professional experience in gender justice and inclusion within national and international NGOs or similar organizations, with at least 4 years in a comparable role.
  • Proven experience in popular mobilization and research, with demonstrated expertise in feminist research methodologies, policy advocacy, and campaigning.
  • Substantial experience in designing gender-transformative programmes within both development and humanitarian contexts.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and representation skills.
