SCOPE OF WORK
IMC is investing in gender analysis and mainstreaming across our country missions as supported by global technical leadership across Africa, Asia, and Middle East regions. The Gender Consultant will support the advancement of IMC’s commitment to gender equality and women’s empowerment by a) supporting the rollout of the newly developed Gender Analysis Toolkit to IMC country programs and b) develop country teams to implement the Gender Analysis (GA) Toolkit effectively.The Gender Analysis Toolkit was developed to provide step-by-step guidance and tools to help country teams analyze the gender dynamics in the communities we serve. By understanding how gender, power, and other factors such as age and disability affect access to resources and opportunities, we can design programs that are more inclusive and impactful.The Gender Consultant works within the Quality Assurance, Research, and Innovation department and will report to the Technical Unit Sr Director while working closely with the Gender Working group.

1. Develop a strategy and workplan to rollout the Gender Analysis Toolkit to all 22 IMC country programs by March 7, 2025.
2. Rollout and lead the trainings on the GA Toolkit to all 22 IMC country programs with support from the Gender Analysis Working Group (WG) by June 30, 2025.
3. Develop an implementation plan with country teams to ensure adoption and use of the GA Toolkit by June 30, 2025
Requirements
Qualifications
Typically, a Master’s degree in Women and Gender studies or related degree with a focus on gender equality in international development, social work, public health, or related area, or equivalent experience.
Experience
Extensive relevant experience in design and implementation of programs focused on advancing gender equality and social inclusion in developing countries and humanitarian contexts, including in a technical or management position.
Demonstrable technical expertise and strong understanding of gender equality principles and practices, the gender equality sector, policy priorities and the impact of gender inequality in humanitarian and development settings.
Demonstrated experience in developing and conducting practical, accessible trainings for staff from diverse backgrounds in gender and gender analysis.
Experience should include both in-person and remotely delivered trainings. in program development and knowledge of donor priorities and approaches to gender.
Extensive experience working with culturally diverse teams in complex settings and working with virtual teams to achieve joint objectives
Competency
Creativity, ability to apply innovative thinking and problem-solving skills.
Fluency in written and spoken English and fluency in French or Arabic is desirable.
Strong computer skills including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and video conferencing features of Microsoft Teams.
