The systems should be robust enough to be utilised long term across the organisation, adaptable to the ever changing nature of our work, and supportive of all teams across FRIDA to fulfill impact-driven reporting requirements, amplify the critical work of FRIDA’s grantee partners, and allow for internal reflections and learnings on organisational strengthening.JOB SUMMARYThe MEL Manager will hold a strategic and operational leadership role, with the responsibility of managing and coordinating the development, implementation, and maintenance of MEL systems to support effective data collection, management , analysis and interpretation across teams.The suitable candidate will manage a small MEL team responsible for the maintenance of FRIDA’s monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems, as well as theorganisation’s overall data management and analysis functions. The position will lead all aspects of data oversight, ensuring efficient, accurate, and impactful reporting; tracking programmatic progress; and generating insights that strengthen FRIDA’s advocacy and fundraising processes and functions.. The MEL Manager is also responsible for implementing FRIDA’s MEL framework, ensuring that the day-to-day operational practices are aligned with the strategic priorities and learning objectives outlined in the framework.Required Expertise & Skills:- University degree, or equivalent training/experience, focus in international development, community development, nonprofit management, human rights, or a related field preferred. University-level academic or professional training in program monitoring and evaluation is considered an asset;
- Demonstrated experience working in monitoring, evaluation and learning in social justice, human rights, grant-making or international development organizations;
- Demonstrated experience in developing formal MEL frameworks and theories of change;
- Demonstrated experience with feminist MEL approaches and methods for data collection and analysis;
- Demonstrated experience with qualitative data coding and analysis and quantitative data and CRM softwares;
- At least 5 years of experience in monitoring, evaluation and learning with demonstrated ability and experience in complex data analysis and impact narrative reporting;

Job description
Strategy: To develop and set feasible policy goals over the short, medium and long term, in line with WRW’s overarching campaigns strategy to improve the lives of women seeking asylum, in consultation with the Campaigns team, and the women in WRW’s network; to provide regular analysis on the external context and assess the opportunities for bringing about policy change in order to inform the strategic direction of the Campaigns team.
Policy: To lead the drafting of policy documents including briefings for MPs, civil servants and other influencing targets, evidence for Parliamentary committees, responses to inquiries and consultations, etc.
Research: To identify research opportunities to advance WRW’s policy goals; to plan and write up research projects for influencing opportunities, ensuring that these are informed by and co-delivered with women in WRW’s network, and carry them out in partnership with the other staff of WRW and our campaigns groups.
Influencing: To identify influencing avenues to advance our campaigning goals, and work with the Campaigns team to develop and maintain relationships with civil servants, parliamentarians, opinion-formers and other stakeholders.
Law: To explore the potential for use of the law in achieving our policy goals, including working on possible strategic litigation in partnership with other organisations and with lawyers.
Communications and media: To work closely with the Campaigns team to give input and advice on WRW’s communications through mainstream and social media to ensure that these are accurate and well-targeted; to act as a spokesperson for WRW’s campaigns, including on media platforms and at events, panels and other platforms to reach target audiences.

Overall role
This new post will job share with Jessica Woodroffe our existing Director (Job Share – Policy and Advocacy lead) and is part of a small team at the GADN Secretariat, consisting of the Head of Policy, Policy and Communications Officer and Network Coordinator. The post holder will report to GADN’s Co-Chairs. They will line manage the Network Coordinator. Together, the Directors provide strategic direction and vision to the network and oversee the organisation’s operational work. They manage the secretariat staff and coordinate the work of the different parts of the network in implementing the strategic plan. The job share is organised as two distinct areas of responsibility. The primary purpose of this part of the job share will be to bring in new sources of funding for the network in an increasingly challenging funding climate, and to lead on ensuring the smooth running of financial and administrative systems and Board governance. The Directors will together lead on planning, and on overseeing our support to members. Jessica Woodroffe leads GADN’s policy, advocacy and external communications work.
Skills and experience required

CONTEXT OF THIS ROLE:
At Purposeful, learning is a political responsibility. We are reclaiming and organising our many ways of knowing, meeting stories with data, and building a robust case for this work. We are bridging traditional logical frameworks with feminist learning principles and creating space for their co-existence.
The Senior Learning and Insights Manager will play a critical role-- contributing to a bold learning and insights strategy aligned with Purposeful’s vision, mission, and growth, leading the design of data collection systems, contributing to data collection efforts, from surveys to storytelling, closing feedback loops and crafting knowledge products, intended to inform, influence and amplify. They will bring technical expertise across a range of quantitative and qualitative methodologies, they will come with curiosity and a willingness to share. The Learning and Insights Manager will work closely with the Learning and Insights Lead and across all Purposeful teams, particularly Grant-making, Communications and Resource Mobilisation.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Purposeful at a time when we are launching a new strategy and consolidating everything we’ve learned about our learning and insights approach over the last seven years
PERSON SPECIFICATION
● At least five to seven years of experience in MEL or research, including experience working with philanthropic funds, feminist organisations or social justice movements. ● Demonstrated experience designing and implementing learning frameworks and systems across multiple projects or funds.
● In-depth understanding of feminist issues, movement building, social justice and/or girls’ rights, or another thematic area, such as humanitarian aid or climate change, and how it relates to girls and young feminists.
● Experience in qualitative and quantitative research.
● The capacity to analyse, critique and identify themes and insights.
● Experience of Salesforce or another database or information management system.
● Proven experience facilitating cross team learning and influencing senior colleagues to act on evidence and insights. ● Excellent writing skills, with demonstrable experience of tailoring knowledge products for different audiences.
● Data visualisation skills are desirable.
● Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to multi-task.

II. Job Summary
The GBV Program Officer is a senior position, responsible for leading the design, implementation, and monitoring the ARISE project, which is purely GBV focused project, that will be implemented in South Wollo Zone of Amhara Region. The aim is to execute, facilitate and exercise effective day-to-day coordination and management of the projects according to the Network’s and Donor, general standards and institutional culture. The GBV Program Officer supports the operations efforts to fulfil NEWA’s mandate and associated obligations on GBV prevention, risk mitigation and response in South Wollo Zone, based on policy and guidance. S/he collaborates closely with the NEWA head office staffs and the field Program team and strengthens working relations with donors, partners, members and stakeholders involved in GBV prevention, risk mitigation and response. All NEWA staffs are accountable to perform their duties as reflected in their job description.
The GBV program Officer contributes to ensuring ARISE project meet the mission and objectives of NEWA as a national agency for GE, WE, and the fight against GBV/VAWG. The incumbent makes sure effectiveness, efficiency and meeting quality standards by working in a team, closely monitoring project and budget and organizing logistics. The GBV Program Officer support the ARISE project in managing the day-to-day project activities, facilitating trainings, provide technical support for the economic support for survivors, monitoring the project officers and social workers and over all field level project management. UNFPA is the lead UN agency for delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every childbirth is safe and every young person's potential is fulfilled. The UNFPA Strategic Plan, 2026-2029 is a roadmap for resilience and renewal, aimed at ensuring universal access to sexual and reproductive health, realizing reproductive rights, and accelerating the implementation of the Programme of Action of the International Conference on Population and Development (ICPD), more than 30 years after its historic adoption in Cairo in 1994.
Job Purpose:The Gender and Human Rights Advisor provides technical, policy and programmatic support across the region, to ensure the regional and country offices remain abreast of UNFPA’s policies and programme strategies, as well as current thinking, innovation and academic advancement in the substantive area of gender equality and social norms change and human rights.
The Advisor analyses regional trends, and contributes to action in response to these, and ensures that gender and human rights are adequately addressed within regional and national development frameworks and programmes, including the achievement of the SDGs, ICPD Programme of Action, the African Union Agenda 2063 and relevant League of Arab States outcome documents / decisions.
In all activities, the Advisor works within an interdisciplinary team providing integrated policy, programme and technical support to the region and the respective country teams - working across humanitarian and development contexts. The Advisor also liaises with other regional teams, especially other Programme Advisors, ensuring the timeliness, adequacy, relevance and quality of support to UNFPA country offices. The Advisor also collaborates within the broader organization across other regions and with the Headquarters teams working on gender and human rights.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Advanced university degree or equivalent in gender studies, anthropology, public health, medicine, sociology, human rights, law, cultural studies, international development, or another field directly related to GBV prevention and response.
- At least 10 years of increasingly responsible professional experience in GBV programming, gender mainstreaming, and/or rights-based programming, of which seven years at the international level;
Knowledge and understanding of a Human Rights based approach essential; - Extensive experience in gender mainstreaming and programming for women’s development;
- Experience in evidence informed policy advocacy for gender and human rights and development of national actions plans to address gender and social equity;
- Demonstrated experience in leading capacity building initiatives in gender and human rights in development settings;
- Knowledge and experience of working on social protection and Civil Society involvement in related security & protection;
- Strong track record of technical leadership, and proven ability to produce demonstrable results;
- Demonstrated ability to network within the academic and development community;
- Familiarity with UN systems and procedures, management and monitoring tools;
- Fluency in English and Arabic is required; knowledge of French is highly desirable.
