Position Summary
WomenLift Health is seeking an experienced, innovative, and dynamic individual to join its global communications team, based in India, to support the India hub while contributing to priority global communications initiatives. This role combines regional leadership with global functional contributions, ensuring strong alignment between hub priorities and the organization’s overall communications strategy. As WomenLift Health deepens its presence in India and advances toward long-term sustainability, this role sits at the center of how we build visibility, influence, and partnerships in one of our most significant hubs.
The role reports to the Director, Communications and Engagement (Global) with a dotted line to the India Director, working in close coordination with the India hub team. The ideal candidate will be able to think strategically and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience demonstrating communications judgment and acumen commensurate with the responsibilities of this position.
The Senior Communications Manager is responsible for intake, prioritization, workflow management, quality assurance, and strategic storytelling across the region. This individual must thrive in an entrepreneurial, cross-cultural, mission-driven, and creative work environment, and be passionate about global health, using communications to support business development and women’s leadership in health.
The successful candidate will bring strategic content leadership, strong writing and editorial judgment, and operational discipline. They will be a proactive self-starter and a passionate advocate for advancing women’s leadership in global health, with an understanding of global health and business development.
Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Ability
- Degree in Communications, Marketing, Global Health, Journalism, Public Policy, advocacy, or a related field
- 10+ years of experience in communications for nonprofit, media, academic, or research organizations
