Sexual & reproductive rights (SRHR) HealthRole Purpose: Under the guidance of the Chair for the Center for Gender Equity, the Senior faculty member will develop training and course syllabi, modules, and give trainings for MBBS, Masters students as well as UGHE’s executive training programs on gender and global health.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESCurriculum Development and Teaching (60%)- Prepare course outlines and course content on gender and reproductive health issues for University of Global Health’s academic programs for students and staff

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE- Proven track record of academic experience (teaching and research)

- PhD or MA degree in Gender Studies
- Confirmed work experience in Sexual and Reproductive Health and/or gender-related programs, with a minimum of 5 years of work experience in gender issues, including gender related projects, gender mainstreaming, reproductive health projects, academic programs, advocacy etc
- Experience working in an academic institution or in developing and delivering trainings for various stakeholders

Urgent Action Fund-Africa (UAF-Africa) is a consciously feminist and womn’s human rights pan-African Fund registered in Kenya and Zimbabwe. Position Overview
UAF-Africa is hosting the 3rd Feminist Republik Festival (3rd FRF), set to take place in Mombasa, Kenya, from 26-30 November 2025. With the bold and audacious theme of Regenerating in Crisis: Grounding Healing and Care in the Storm. The Festival aims bring together more than 600 activists from across the globe. The Fund seeks a vibrant and agile Feminist Republik Festival Logistics Consultant to provide adequate administrative and logistical support to the Fund’s upcoming Festival. Reporting to the Head of Finance & Operations, the incumbent will work closely with Finance and Operations, Human Resources, and Feminist Republik planning committees to ensure that the planning and preparation of the event are well coordinated and ensure the success of the Festival. The incumbent will work closely with external contractors, the events management company, and ensure that Festival participants have the information and support they need to travel, register, and be part of this flagship event.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience
§ At least 7-10 years’ experience in an event or logistics coordinating role, or relevant experience, preferably in gender justice, women’s rights, or a non-profit/NGO setting.
§ Experience in developing effective logistics procedures and systems, building on best practices in event planning.

The role

Movement buildingThe African Women’s Development Fund (AWDF) and its project partners seek independent evaluation consultants to evaluate the implementation of the KASA! Initiative which supports sexual violence prevention and advocacy interventions in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal and at regional levels. The evaluation will be used to inform the necessary adjustments or changes for the remainder of the initiative as well as to inform and improve the development of future programming, including grant-making support to our partners, advocacy strategy and stakeholder engagement. The evaluation is expected to be carried out in 3 months, from June to August 2025.
Scope of Work
In line with AWDF’s strategic priorities, AWDF is commissioning a mid-term review of the KASA! Initiative, which is just past halfway through the initial five-year contract. The programme evaluation will cover the implementation period from June 2021 to December 2024. KASA! The initiative has supported 45 women’s rights and feminist organisations (24 in Nigeria, 12 in Ghana and 9 in Senegal) since June 2021. The duration of the evaluation is 3 months. The deliverables include an inception report, data collection, analysis and reporting, two validation workshops and final delivery of the evaluation report including a slide set and infographic.
Qualifications and Experience Required
The call is open to individuals or teams of consultants led by women or gender-diverse persons in Africa, preferably Ghana, Nigeria and/or Senegal, with the following required skills and experience:
- Hold a graduate degree in Social Sciences or related studies
- Have at least 8 to 10 years of work in the Global South towards promoting and protecting human rights and gender/social justice
- Demonstrated experience working in the area of sexual violence in Senegal, Ghana and Nigeria and/or across Africa
- Demonstrated experience in designing and carrying out evaluations for large multi-actor programmes, using Feminist MEL and related evaluation approaches
- Experience in evaluating similar programmes in the three focus countries and/or regions in the Global South
- Proficiency in written and spoken English and French
- English and French writing skills and report-writing experience.

Our work focuses on the protection, empowerment, and freedom of LGBTQI young people between 18-30 years old.
Background
LGBTQI youth continue to face significant barriers to full and equitable participation in sports, and sports environments often remain exclusionary and unsafe spaces for LGBTQI young people. Marginalisation, homophobia, and transphobia are still prevalent in many sports settings, discouraging participation and limiting access to opportunities for personal and professional development. LGBTQI young people come from diverse backgrounds, with their experiences shaped by intersecting factors such as gender identity, race, disability, and socioeconomic status. IGLYO recognises the compounded barriers that LGBTQI youth face in sports environments and structures due to homophobia, transphobia, racism, ableism, class, and other forms of discrimination.
To address these challenges, IGLYO is commissioning a Qualitative Research Study on LGBTQI Inclusion in Sports to document LGBTQI young people’s experiences in sports (including formal and non-formal education). This research will explore key themes such as discrimination, access to safe and affirming sports environments (including in formal and non-formal education), the impact of exclusionary policies, and best practices for fostering inclusion. The findings will contribute to ongoing advocacy efforts at the European level, informing policy discussions on LGBTQI inclusion in sports and supporting the development of more inclusive and equitable sports environments and structures.
Research Goals
This qualitative research study aims to assess the barriers LGBTQI youth encounter in school and community-based sports settings while identifying pathways towards safer, more inclusive and affirming environments.
The consultant will:
- Assess the needs, barriers and discrimination experienced by LGBTQI youth related to inclusion/exclusion in sports.
- Identifying best practices for fostering LGBTQI inclusion in sports that could serve as inspiration for youth organisations, sports and educational institutions, and policymakers.
- Provide evidence-based recommendations in coordination with IGLYO.
- Develop a comprehensive 20-page narrative report.
- Meet with the IGLYO Policy and Research team and other relevant stakeholders to guide the research process and ensure alignment with advocacy efforts.
Eligibility Criteria
The consultant should demonstrate that they fulfil the following criteria:
- Demonstrated experience in conducting qualitative data collection and analysis with LGBTQI communities and/or other marginalised groups, particularly in the context of sports, youth, or inclusion.
- Strong understanding of the barriers and needs of LGBTQI youth in sports, with a proven record of incorporating an intersectional approach in research methods.
- Familiarity with relevant policy frameworks related to LGBTQI inclusion, youth empowerment, and sports policies at the national and European levels.
